The Central Otago District Council is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as one of our Planning Support Officers on a full-time basis based in Alexandra. Reporting to the Planning Support Team Leader you will be responsible for providing day to day administration planning assistance to the Planning team and provide administration support to all aspects of the resource consent process. You will assist customers with planning enquiries, regarding the resource consent process, property enquiries and district plan review/changes.

Desired Skills and Experience
Our ideal candidate will have:
Three years’ experience working in an administrative role or previous experience in local government.
Ability to utilise Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience in resource management, regulatory or local government is an advantage.
A commitment to customer service and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
An ability to think on your feet and able to multi-task.
Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus and the ability to build relationships.
