Job Description

Roading Network Engineer

The role includes:

  • Traffic Management Coordinator (TMC).
  • External Traffic Management (TMP) Approvals
  • Corridor Access Requests (CAR) Processing
  • Road closures
  • Abandoned Vehicle management

Desired Skills and Experience

As the successful applicant you will preferably have:

  • STMS Level 1 qualifications
  • Qualified TTM Planner qualifications
  • Onsite Traffic Management Experience
  • Hold a full New Zealand Drivers licence
  • Competent with Microsoft Excel and Word software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

 

The successful applicant will have;

  • Excellent customer/public relationship skills.
  • Self-motivated, supportive, and adaptable
  • The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with a minimum of supervision
  • Take responsibility and accountability for their own actions and day to day decision making
  • The ability to cope with a variety of situations, and resolve potential conflicts with internal and external customers
  • The ability to listen, express ideas clearly, and report effectively
  • The ability to promote the desired interest of the Central Otago District Council through good public relations
