In this role, you'll be supporting key operational activities, helping improve waste data and customer experience, and assisting with education and awareness initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

In This Role, You Will:

  • Support the delivery and monitoring of Council’s waste and recycling contracts
  • Be the first point of contact for service requests, public queries, and contractor liaison
  • Collect, manage, and report on waste data to support continuous improvement
  • Maintain records and databases including weighbridge, kerbside bins, and contamination reports
  • Assist with invoice processing and account reconciliation for waste services
  • Contribute to waste minimisation campaigns and community engagement initiatives
  • Help deliver the maintenance programme and data reporting for closed landfill sites
  • Provide administrative support and maintain service maps and documentation

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Bring:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in waste management or a related science field would be an advantage
  • Confidence in data entry, reporting, and use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Solid organisational and time management skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across teams and with external contractors
  • A current full driver’s licence
