What you’ll need to succeed:
- A professional qualification in the building industry that meets Regulation 18 in terms of the Building Consenting Authority Regulations.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the building control field, with competencies in Residential 1-3 and Commercial 1-2 processing and inspections.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and dispute resolution skills.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Act 2004, NZ Building Code, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare reports.
- Practical working knowledge of computer systems.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and customer service.
- A valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
