We currently have a full-time position available within our Building Control team based in Cromwell, and while our preference is for a qualified building inspector, if you have substantial experience in the building/construction industry and are you looking for a change or have been working in the building control environment and want to make the next step….we want to hear from you today!
The role is responsible for both processing and inspections and would be part of a skilled building team with exceptional administrative support.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
A professional qualification in the building industry at a minimum level of one or more of the following is required:
Diploma in Building Surveying
New Zealand Certificate in Building or equivalent
Craftsman Plumber and Registered Drainlayer
Advanced Trade Certificate in Building
Multi-Skilled Officers Certificate
Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge with a desire to work collaboratively to achieve the right outcomes
Have a good working knowledge of current building code and legislation
Significant experience in building control functions including plan processing and inspections (preferred but not essential)
Hold a current driver’s licence
