Job Description

What you’ll do

Monitoring and Enforcement Officer Job Description

No two days are the same. You’ll:

  • Monitor resource consent conditions and conduct site visits
  • Provide technical regulatory and enforcement advice across Council departments
  • Respond to community and internal service requests
  • Prepare and issue permits, notices, and infringements
  • Assist Parking and Dog Control Officers when required

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in planning or resource management
  • Experience in local government (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Sound analytical and report-writing skills
  • Solutions-focused approach and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
