We are a seeking a Roading Network Engineer to support road management activities, across Central Otago’s diverse roading network. The key deliverables in respect of this position will be the roles of Traffic Management Coordinator (TMC) and Road Safety Coordinator.

This is a full-time role in our Roading Team however, consideration will be given to a part time role depending on the candidate.
Attending various meetings regarding road safety across the region.
Writing data-informed road safety programmes.
Coordinating and facilitating efforts to address road safety problems within Central Otago.
Bringing an organised and systematic approach to coordinating road safety in the district.
Assisting with gaining various sponsorships for road safety.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have;
Excellent customer/public relations skills
Self-motivated, supportive, and adaptable
The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with a minimum of supervision
Take responsibility and accountability for their own actions and day to day decision making
Th ability to cope with a variety of situations, and resolve potential conflicts with internal and external customers
The ability to listen, express ideas clearly, and report effectively
The ability to promote the desired interest of the Central Otago District Council through good public relations
