• A certified swim instructor qualification — or a willingness to obtain one
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive, can‑do attitude
• The ability to motivate and encourage swimmers of all abilities
• A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to work independently when needed
