Graduate Planner Job Description
As a Graduate Planner within our Resource Management Planning team, you will be involved in a wide variety of work that will involve processing resource consents in a range of interesting areas, including:
- Urban and rural land use and subdivision developments
- Considering development implications to heritage buildings and heritage precincts
- Industrial growth projects
- Planning matters relating to areas of significant and outstanding natural landscapes
You’ll be supported by an experienced and collaborative team who are committed to mentoring and professional development.
About You:
- A relevant degree in Planning, Resource Management, or a related field
- A sound understanding of the resource consent process and associated legislation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- A solutions‑focused mindset and a willingness to learn
