Council’s Community and Engagement team is passionate about creating meaningful connections with community, staff, and decision makers. We are seeking someone with specialised communications skills who will connect with a variety of audiences, through digital platforms.
This permanent full-time position will support our wider team on an array of tasks with the purpose of enhancing Council’s communication and engagement in a way that celebrates and reflects Central Otago District Council’s organisational values.
If you are a self-motivated creative who is keen to explore new ideas and add value to our communications space, then this is the job for you.
About You:
- Preferred tertiary level qualification in communications, social media, or public relations
- Experience producing high-quality written and visual communications
- Experience in social media platforms and analytics tools – e.g. meta business suite
- Preferred experience within a communications, public relations agency, or media team
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Video development and editing capabilities
- Excellent time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with attention to detail
