Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Swim Teacher to join our swim school team. This role is integral to delivering high-quality swimming lessons and upholding our commitment to water safety and aquatic education. Working closely with the Swim School Manager, you will play a key part in helping swimmers of all ages and abilities grow in confidence and skill in the water.

You will:
Deliver high‑quality, safe and engaging learn‑to‑swim lessons for all ages, from infants through to adults
Plan and deliver lessons in line with Swim School programmes, supporting swimmers to progress and achieve their learning goals
Build positive relationships with students, parents and caregivers through clear communication and excellent customer service
Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and student progress updates in a timely and organised way
Work collaboratively with the Swim School Manager and aquatics team while maintaining current qualifications and best‑practice teaching standards
A current New Zealand Swim Teaching Qualification (or equivalent), with a commitment to maintaining professional currency
Proven experience teaching swimming lessons across a range of ages and abilities, from infants through to adults
Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with swimmers, parents and caregivers
Confidence managing classes and adapting lessons to suit varying skill levels and learning needs
A positive, team‑focused attitude, along with good organisation skills and basic computer literacy
