Central Otago District Council is seeking an enthusiastic team player to join our Water Services Team based in Alexandra.
The position will work with a collaborative team to supply safe drinking water, collect and treat wastewater and stormwater, in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner. The role will have responsibility for management of operations, maintenance and renewals of our 15 water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations across the district.
The person will hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or have relevant experience, however, the key attribute will be enthusiasm and willingness to work in a team environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
About you:
Experience with wastewater and water treatment plant operations
Experience in forwards works programming
Have or be working towards wastewater/water qualification
Hold a New Zealand Driver’s License
Have strong organisational skills.
Be flexible, adaptable and enjoy a challenge
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team and to deadlines.
